English Didactics ll 

In today's blog, we are going to talk about our first class at the University, first of all, I would like to mention I was not happy with this decision because it was taking a lot of my time to get to the University, I had to take three different buses to get there and it took me more than two hours to come back to my house, so of course, I was not happy at all. However, I am about to share with you what was the bright side 🌟 about it.

So the good side about it is that I talked with some classmates and shared some opinions about the class and about coming to classes, we also talked about life, work, studies, and so on. We also had a class with teacher Orlando which was pretty interesting, we discussed the theory of languages and we had a recap about English Didactics l. After classes, I went back home, but I could not be there at the time I expected (around 18:00 pm or 18:30 pm) because it started raining so I had to wait to take the bus (44)  🚌 I ended up arriving at 19:30 pm to my house.

August 26th, 2022

In today's class, we talked about multiple intelligences and we discuss how important is to recognize the kind of intelligence everyone has, this will help to recognize in which way we can teach our students. 

In my case, I learn faster when I can do things on my own, or if I can do something physically, so that will be kept on my mind and I won't easily forget it. 

Teacher Orlando also requested to do an exercise about the Multiple Intelligences Wheel, here is my result:

August 9th, 2022. 

Today we did not have in-person classes, but teacher Orlando gave us a PDF for us to read about "The Teaching Methods". He also requested to post it on a forum on campus virtual about what we learned.

August 16th, 2022 

In today's class, we had a presentation in which we made groups of 5 to 6 people, and every group needed to talk about the teaching method. In my group we talked about the TPR method, this is one of my favorites because I feel like this method has helped to learn the language, even though it has some disadvantages such as, it can  be difficult for shy, or that you cannot touch everything in order to learn a new word, but I still like it, here are some photos of that day. 

 SECOND SEMESTER 

SEPTEMBER 6TH, 2022

In today's class, we talked about the importance of planning what you would like to do in the future and also the benefits it has when it comes to planning your classes when you think about teaching. 

We say a language has 4 macro skills, speaking 😀, listening 👂, writing 📝, and reading 📰. 

September 13th, 2022 

In today's class, we talked about the agenda for the second and third semesters and the teacher Orlando explained to us what we are doing in the next weeks. We also continue learning about the four macro skills and the different methods we can use and how these can be used in a different way each. 

September 20th, 2022 

In today's class the teacher give us the topic each group was going to talk about, he also show us how to prepare a template of a lesson plan, the teacher Orlando explain to us the importance of creating a lesson plan when it comes to teaching, it can help us to organize our ideas and be able to explain the topics better. Every group got together and each group discuss the topic we were assigned. Our topic was the simple present, passive voice, we decided to be the first group because two of the members of the group are in training for a new job, I was kind of worried to be the first group but I think it ended up being a good presentation! 

September 27th, 2022

Today is the day! 👀😵 Today was our presentation, all the members decided to arrive at the University at least one hour earlier so we can make sure we were all on time, we practiced a little bit and we make sure that we all knew what we were going to do. We made our presentation, and I was super nervous because I was in charge of the warm-up and the wrap-up activity, and I wanted to make it a little bit fun and entertaining because I knew it could help the students to pay more attention to the topic my classmates were going to explain, I was super proud of my group I think they made a super good job! 😁 Our other classmates also needed to make their presentations I had a lot of fun with their presentations as well, here is a picture of  one of the presentations: 

October 4th 

In today's class, the other groups explained the different topics they were assigned, I was not able to assist to the class because I was sick but I asked my classmates about it and they said it was really interesting and they enjoy the explanation of the other classmates.
